If you are a parent or you work with children, please go to my friend Kerry Clark’s blog and read this post.

I’d love to hear your thoughts.

In Bookstores Now

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

My good friend John Dobbs posted this photo the other day:

I’m not exactly sure why the book was on the shelves so early; it’s supposed to hit stores today. But I don’t really care. I’m glad it’s out. I’m especially glad it’s facing out.

So, here’s an idea I have: go to your local bookstore and see if my book is on the shelves. If it is, take a picture of it (and buy it if you haven’t already). Make sure the book is facing out so people can see the lovely cover design the Regal folks cooked up for us. Take pictures of the book, of yourself with the book, of the sales person ringing the book up, of random strangers posing with you as you buy the book, of you holding the book in front of the Eiffel Tower, anything as long as it involves the book (and is, of course, suitable for posting here).

Then email the photos to

I’ll post as many as I can here on the blog. Maybe I’ll think of some sort of prize for the coolest photo.
